The Central University of Kerala is founded on the noble vision of a ‘caring wisdom’ and is guided by the lofty ideals of academic and social commitment, moral steadfastness and intellectual and spiritual enlightenment as reflected in its vision statement and as enshrined on its logo, it imparts knowledge that is truly eternal in its entirety. On one hand, the Central University of Kerala represents a confluence of diverse ideas and knowledge from diverse sources just like an ocean that draws water from every corner and it also radiates it in all directions.

The Central University of Kerala is spread across three campuses with the main campus being developed at Tejaswini Hills at Periye, Kasaragod spread across nearly 310 acres of land allocated by the state. Most of the academic programs are offered at the main campus whereas the Capital Centre at Thiruvananthapuram, offers an Integrated BA-MA Programme in International Relations and the Law Campus at Thiruvalla offers LLB. In total, the Central University offers 26 Doctorate, 27 Post Graduate and two Undergraduate Degree Programs from its 27 Departments which are constituent parts of the 12 Schools.
